Herkimer Diamonds are not actually diamonds, but quartz crystals discovered within exposed outcrops of dolomite in and around Herkimer County, New York. The "diamond" in their name is due to both their clarity and naturally faceted crystals.
Our jewellery is set in silver, plated in 18 carat gold vermeil. The plating is equivalent to 2.5 microns of gold.
